Product Description

A2/B1 fire-resistant aluminum composite panel utilizes special flame-retardant core material. According to fire ratings, ACP panels are categorized into two types: A2 and B1. It is essential to select panels in strict accordance with the fire protection standards of building materials.

The difference between A2 and B1 fireproof ACP panels:

1. Different core materials:
- B1 grade plastic core material contains 50%-55% flame retardant (Aluminum Oxide and Magnesium Oxide).
- A2 grade plastic core contains 88%-90% flame retardant (Aluminum Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide).

2. Fireproof performance:
- B1 Fireproof panel: Starts to burn after 5 minutes of continuous ignition; extinguishes 10 seconds after removing the flame.
- A2 Fireproof panel: Starts to burn after 20 minutes of continuous ignition; extinguishes immediately after removing the flame.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main difference between A2 and B1 fire ratings for ACP?
The primary difference lies in the core material composition and fire resistance duration. A2 panels have a higher flame retardant content (88-90%) and can withstand ignition for 20 minutes, while B1 panels contain 50-55% flame retardant and withstand ignition for 5 minutes.
What are the standard dimensions of the aluminum composite panels?
The standard size is 1,220 x 2,440mm with a panel thickness of 4mm and an aluminum skin thickness of 0.50mm. Custom sizes are also available upon request.
What type of surface coating is used?
These panels feature a PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) coating, which provides excellent weather resistance and durability for exterior applications.
Where can these fire-resistant panels be used?
They are suitable for a wide range of applications including external wall cladding, curtain walls, interior decorations, and advertising boards.
How are the products packed for transport?
The panels are typically packed in bulk or secured in reinforced wooden cases to ensure safety during international shipping.
Do these panels meet international fire safety standards?
Yes, the panels are designed to meet fire protection standards for building materials, including ASTM certifications.
