Expanded metal sheet is a kind of wire mesh, processing by sheet metal punching machine, and then form the material sheet into the network status, that wire mesh is called Expanded metal mesh, or Expanded metal sheet.
The type of Expanded metal mesh includes Raised expanded steel mesh, (also called Standard or Regular expanded metal mesh) and Flat expanded metal. The Raised expanded metal mesh has Diamond openings, and it is slightly raised on surface.
Flat expanded metal mesh is manufactured through Raised one. The workers pass the standard expanded sheet into a cold roll reducing mill, then forming diamond openings with flat surface.
Expanded metal sheet is made from kind of metal sheet, with the process of stamping and tensiling. Expanded mesh forms a variety of diamond shaped openings as per customized sizes. In general, owing to the expanding process, the metal sheet could be expanded up to 8 times its original size, losing up to 75% original weight per meter, therefore, it has the advantage of less weight, more economical than a single metal sheet.
